TITLE: Assistant Director of Nursing Education
REPORTS TO: Director of Nursing Education
FUNCTION: The Assistant Director of Nursing Education assists with managing the day-to-day operations of the OIAH Associate Degree RN Program and the Practical Nursing Program. Provides oversight in all areas of the Nursing programs, ensuring compliance with all State of Ohio Board of Nursing rules and regulations, responsible to and reporting to the Director of Nursing Education. Works with the Director of Nursing Education to develop and revise curriculum, ensure compliance with all accreditation and academic regulatory requirements, and responsible for all facets of nursing student academic progress. Assists in interviewing/selecting, orienting, mentoring, supervising, and evaluating the performance of faculty. Assists with student nursing orientation, review of student files/records, and disciplinary matters. Teaches courses in PN or RN program, as needed. Develops and maintains relationships with all students and responds to day-to-day issues. Monitors student success including student retention, graduation rates, NCLEX pass rates as well as student satisfaction. Works collaboratively with Student Services to ensure superior student outcomes. Chairs the General Education Department. Coordinates laboratory, simulation, and clinical sections and sessions. Supervises the operations of all nursing programs when DON not available. Completes other duties and project participation as assigned.
Minimum Requirements:
- Completion of an approved registered nursing education program in the jurisdiction as defined in paragraph (P) of Rule 4723-5-01 of the Administrative Code.
- Experience of at least five (5) years in the practice of nursing as a registered nurse, two of which must have been as a faculty member in a registered nursing education program.
- A master's degree with a major in Nursing.
- Current, valid licensure as a registered nurse (RN) in Ohio
- Demonstrated leadership experience
- Must be computer literate
- Possess excellent interpersonal skills
- Possess excellent written and oral communication skills
- Posses organizational and time management skills, and able to multitask
- Able to work a flexible schedule

Pay: $80,000.00 - $90,000.00 per year
