Are you dedicated to making a positive impact on the lives of children and families in need? The Madison County Jobs and Family Services is seeking a passionate and driven Social Service Worker 2 – Intake to join our Children Services. This full-time role provides the opportunity to assess safety, connect families with essential services, and play an active role in crisis intervention.
As a Social Service Worker 2 – Intake, you will initiate cases, meet with families, assess safety, and collaborate with community agencies to ensure children’s well-being. You’ll also serve as an on-call social worker, making a significant contribution to your community.
What We’re Looking For:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university.
- Experience: At least 1 year of related experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Licenses/Certifications: Valid Ohio driver’s license with insurability under the County vehicle insurance policy.
Skills & Abilities:
- Strong understanding of child safety and social service practices.
- Effective communication and crisis management skills.
- Proficiency with office software and case management tools.
- Ability to work with emotionally distraught individuals and families.
