Position Overview: Serves adult and pediatric patients by scheduling appointments, maintaining records and accounts, general office support, and providing outstanding customer service to all callers.
Essential Duties Essential Job Functions:
- Schedule appointments in a computerized appointment calendar for multiple locations and/or providers based on call center guidelines.
- Responsible for handling all inbound calls in a timely and professional manner.
- Responsible for making outbound callbacks during assigned time slot to follow up on voicemails.
- Appropriately transfer calls to the necessary department based on the meaning of call.
- Responsible for following AAAHC guidelines in regards to patient continuity. Maintains patient’s continuity of care by scheduling with a consistent provider.
- Maintains the computer database of patience with accuracy and completeness.
- Advises the patients of ONE Health Systems, Inc. policies and procedures regarding billing, payment of fees, sliding fee schedules, and payment options.
- Other duties as assigned.
Other Skills/Abilities:
- Exceptional customer service, active listening, verbal and written communication skills, and professional phone voice.
- Proficiency with computers including the ability to multitask through multiple screens, and strong typing skills
- Strong time management and decision-making skills.
- Understanding of company services and policies.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and remain compliant with HIPAA guidelines.
- Ability to utilize software, databases, scripting, and tools appropriately.
- Ability to adjust to changes made in scheduling guidelines and apply immediately upon request.
Education/Experience:
- High school education
- Minimum 3 years’ experience preferred
Physical Requirements:
- Sitting in a normal seated position for extended periods of time
- Reaching by extending hand(s) or arm(s) in any direction
- Finger dexterity required to manipulate objects with fingers rather than with whole hand(s) or arm(s), for example, using a keyboard
- Communication skills using the spoken word
- Ability to see within normal parameters
- Ability to hear within normal range
- Ability to move about
