Job Summary : The Political Science program in the School of Arts, Humanities, and Social Sciences seeks to fill a part-time adjunct faculty position. Applicants with previous teaching backgrounds in American political science courses are desired. The successful candidate will teach one or more courses in U.S. politics, campaigns and elections, and public administration during Fall 2024 and / or Spring 2025. Scope : The successful applicant will teach undergraduate 3-credit lecture political science courses on campus. Principal Responsibilities The successful applicant will serve as the instructor of record for undergraduate 3-credit lecture course(s) in Fall 2024 and / or Spring 2025. One course meets for three hours each week. Instructors can choose to use the learning management system of Canvas. Required Skills : Substantive knowledge of American government and politics. Excellent communication skills, the ability to effectively collaborate with colleagues, and enthusiasm for teaching undergraduate political science. Minimum Qualifications : Master’s degree in political science or a related field.
