Toledo Tool & Die is adding Press Operators to our team to support our continued growth.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Examine and inspect completed work pieces for defects, such as burred edges or marred surfaces and sort defective pieces according to types of flaws.
- Read production schedules to determine specifications, such as materials to be used to be compliant with customer specifications relative to dimensions and tolerances.
- Operate and tend machines to punch, bend or form metal material.
- Load blanks into feeder, start machine, monitor the operation to ensure it is processing properly, make adjustments to screen, clear jammed parts in die, record operational data for material tracking, record number of pieces produced with other documentation to run the machine, clean up fallen blanks or parts, maintain a clean cell, perform basic preventative maintenance per the PM schedule.
- Must be able to stage empty bins and move full bins using a forklift.
- Verify and document dimensions of finished parts for conformance to specifications, using measuring instruments, including but not limited to calipers, micrometers, pin gages and attribute gages.
- Assist engineer in completing simple to intermediate tasks associated with die changes.
- Comply with safety regulations and maintain clean and orderly work areas.
- Authority to stop production in the event unsafe parts or conditions appear.
Perform other duties as assigned by the immediate Supervisor and/or Manager, which may be outside the scope of responsibilities noted above

Requirements:REQUIREMENTS:
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Eligible to work in the United States
- Prefer six (6) months of warehousing and inventory experience.
- Ability to follow work procedures and safety rules
- Ability to read, understand and follow directions/instructions
- Must be able to satisfactorily complete pre-employment screening (background check and drug screen).
- Identified candidates must be able to work overtime (daily, weekends and holidays).
- Must be able to work in a dynamic and fast paced environment.
- Report for work on time to support production startup.
- Forklift experience preferred.
