What are the responsibilities and job description for the RN Hospice House/IPU (FT Days) position at Ohio s Hospice Inc?
- This is a full-time day position serving our Troy Hospice House, but will float to the Dayton Hospice House when needed.
- Shifts will be from 7:00am-7:30pm, with every third weekend is required and every other holiday.
- We provide superior care and superior service to patients at their end of life journey. Only those who have a heart for hospice will succeed.
What we are looking for:
An RN/LPN who plans and delivers care to patients utilizing the nursing process of assessment, planning, interventions, implementation, and evaluation; and effectively interacts with patients, families and other interdisciplinary team members while maintaining standards of professional nursing. We provide superior care and superior services to patients at their end of life journey. Only those who have a heart for hospice will succeed.
RN/LPN Qualifications:
RN's - Graduate of an accredited nursing school; Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN); Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred. Active Registered Nurse license in the State of Ohio without any board actions. Two years acute care nursing experience preferred.
LPN's - Licensed Practical Nurse currently licensed in Ohio with IV and medication certification preferred; Registered LPN with the State of Ohio without any board actions. One year nursing experience preferred.
- CPR Certified
- Certification in Hospice & Palliative Medicine (CHPN) preferred; required within two years of employment. (Eligible upon completion of 500 hours in last 12 months of hospice/palliative experience.)
- Computer skills sufficient to properly document services and care.
- Ability to drive during daytime, nighttime or inclement weather.
- Valid Driver's License with Safe Driving Record
- State Minimum Automobile Insurance Coverage
