What are the responsibilities and job description for the Transport Coordinator position at Ohio s Hospice Inc?
- This is a full-time, 36-hour position - 8A-8:30P, with an every other weekend rotation
- Previous experience working as an Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) preferred.
- We provide superior care and superior services to patients at their end-of-life journey. Only those who have a heart for hospice will succeed.
Key Responsibilities of the Transport Coordinator:
Demonstrates excellent customer service skills to answer and address all phone calls.
Schedules transportation staff appropriately, accurately and in a timely manner to ensure quality patient care, avoiding unscheduled visits.
Adjusts transport staff assignments as needed as changes occur with staffing and changes in the level of patient care.
Assists in other activities and departments when requested.
Participates in Continuous Quality Improvement activities to support the quality of Ohio’s Hospice services.
Precepts new staff to support professional relationships with newly hired team members as required.
DME Coordinator Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED
- Computer skills sufficient to properly schedule and communicate effectively.
- Ability to drive during daytime, nighttime or inclement weather.
- Valid Driver's License with Safe Driving Record
- State Minimum Automobile Insurance Coverage
