Job Description
Job Title : Registered Nurse
Job Specialty : Progressive Care Unit (PCU)
Job Duration : 13 weeks
Shift : Night, 3x12-hour shifts (7 : 00 PM - 7 : 30 AM)
Guaranteed Hours : N / A
Experience : 2 years of PCU / Med-Surg experience required
License : Must have a valid compact or state license in hand
Certifications : Basic Life Support (BCLS) required
Must-Have : Experience with EPIC
Job Description :
- Work in a stroke unit with rotating weekdays and weekends.
- Rotate holidays as required.
- Provide care to patients with an estimated nurse-to-patient ratio of 1 : 4.
- Required to float within units of equivalent or lower acuity levels.
- Travel compliance requirements, including fingerprinting, must be adhered to with urgency.
- Compliance deadline is the Tuesday before the start date.
- Responsiveness and cooperation with credentialing are critical to avoid cancellation.
- Non-local candidates must meet travel and fingerprinting guidelines promptly.
- Complete a 24-hour orientation period.
- Flu vaccine is required, with medical exemptions allowed.
- Local candidates accepted within a 60-mile radius under the same conditions.
- Former employees are eligible for assignments if they have been away from the facility for six months or more, while current employees are ineligible for traveler positions at certain hospital locations.
- Education must be from an ACEN or CCNE accredited program.
