Responsibilities
What will you do?
The Lead Advanced Practice Provider within the Neurological Institute can be a Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner. The Lead APP works with departmental, divisional and APP leadership and will function as a liaison, mentoring, continued education, and on-boarding roles for other advanced practice providers. Administrative and reporting responsibilities as per division.
- Interacts with the division workforce at large on issues related to advanced practice providers.
- Assigns responsibility for mentoring advanced practice providers and is designated expert for advance practice in the division.
- Provides clinical leadership and mentoring in matters relating to advanced practice and the professional development of APRNs or PAs for serving as the liaison between the APRN/PAs and upper level advanced practice management (Manager and Director).
- The Lead APP is responsible for providing health care services to patients within the parameters of a standard care agreement with an attending physician member of The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center.
- Collaborates with a physician (s) & other clinicians in providing a full scope of patient care.
- Focus is on preventive health or the management of stable chronic conditions. Performs medical services that have been specifically authorized & directed by the credentialing and the collaborative physician.
Qualifications
What are we looking for in our next new hire?
- Masters Degree in Nursing or equivalent
- Current certificate of authority to practice as an APRN-CNP in the State of Ohio required
- Graduate of a Nurse Practitioner and/or Physician Assistant program that qualifies the graduate to sit for the certification examination of a national certifying organization recognized by the Ohio Board of Nursing or Medicine.
Pay Range
USD $92,881.42 - USD $154,802.35 /Yr.Salary : $92,881 - $154,802
