Strategic Enrollment | Marketing and Communications- Develops, manages and maintains audience-centric marketing and informational content for print and digital (web, email, etc.) channels for assigned departments within the Office of Strategic Enrollment Management.
- Determines messaging and medium for projects.
- Solicits content; coordinates steps for timely completion of projects.
- Conceives email marketing journeys based on audience insights and strategic goals; works hands-on with Salesforce Marketing Cloud Content Builder to create emails that drive audience engagement; uses analytics to fine-tune content.
- Performs a broad range of writing and editorial duties; serves as Marketing and Strategic Communication's liaison with assigned departments.
- Works closely with the Editor of Strategic Communication and collaborates effectively with designers, CRM managers and others in the department to produce high quality work on deadline.
- Follows and advocates for university brand guidelines; has a passion for understanding our audiences’ needs; stays abreast of industry best practices.
- Understands and supports larger university mission and reinforces institutional messaging.
Duties/Responsibilities
50% Develops, manages and maintains audience-centric marketing and informational content for print and digital (web, email, etc.) channels for assigned departments within the Office of Strategic Enrollment Management. Determines messaging and medium for projects. Solicits content; coordinates steps for timely completion of projects.
35% Conceives email marketing journeys based on audience insights and strategic goals; works hands-on with Salesforce Marketing Cloud Content Builder to create emails that drive audience engagement; uses analytics to fine-tune content.
15% Performs a broad range of writing and editorial duties; serves as Marketing and Strategic Communication's liaison with assigned departments.
Education/Experience
Required : Bachelor's degree in communication, strategic communication, digital communication, journalism, English (composition), or an equivalent combination of education and experience required; 4 years of relevant experience is required; demonstrated expertise as a creative, persuasive and technically sound writer required; proven success with project management in a fast-paced environment required; experience in editorial capacity including knowledge of photography, graphics arts and printing required.
Desired : Experience in a marketing environment composing copy for marketing materials preferred; experience with email marketing preferred; experience with design software (specifically lnDesign) preferred; experience with website editing or CMS platforms (example: Umbraco, Drupal or HTML) desired; experience with CRM platforms (specifically Salesforce) desired.

The salary range for this position is $63,400 - $69,000. The offer for this position will fall within this range based on internal equity, units' available budget, and the candidates' qualifications.
This is a hybrid position working from the Columbus campus.
