Scope of Position
The Peripheral Vascular Laboratory provides non-invasive imaging technology (sonography) to diagnose potential disorders of the blood vessels, veins and arteries.
Position Summary
The Vascular Lead Technologist position performs all duties of the Vascular Technologist, in addition to coordinating daily workflow, daily assignments, patient flow, and provides support to the operations of the department. The lead provides quality assessment activities and maintains accreditation preparedness for the department. The lead also provides assistance to the Imaging Manager for assessment of the Vascular Technologists job performance as well as coordinates orientation/onboarding for new staff to the department. The lead may cover additional Imaging Manager responsibilities as necessary in the absence of the Imaging Manager.
Minimum Qualifications
For Hire: Associate degree or equivalent combination of education and experience. Completion of an accredited Vascular Sonography program., Registered Vascular Technologist or Registered Vascular Specialist from the American Registry of Diagnostic Sonographers, American Registry of Radiologic Technologists or Cardiovascular Credentialing International Registry. 2 years of relevant experience required. 4-6 years of relevant experience preferred.
Ongoing: Maintains registry and licensing status; meets mandatory education and health surveillance requirements. Demonstrates competence in technical, interpersonal, and cognitive skills required to meet essential job functions.
