The Chief Operating Officer is responsible for developing and forecasting a budget that services over 15,000 patients in multiple Federally Qualified Health Centers (FQHC). This role reports directly to the FQHC CEO and is a highly visible and high impact position that works to build models of care to serve at-risk populations across the State of Ohio.
The Chief Operating Officer is part of the FQHC’s senior leadership team and is responsible for :
- Overseeing all operational aspects of Total Health and Wellness medical clinics, facilities, and patient-facing services.
- Developing and implementing the strategic objectives that promote operational efficiencies, enhance the profitability of the organization, and develop and support expansion opportunities.
- In partnership with CEO, ensuring the delivery of high-quality services that are fully responsive to the needs of patients and their families.
- In the event that the CEO is not available, the COO may be the acting CEO as needed.
Required Qualifications
Master's Degree in Nursing, Business Administration or Health Care Administration, and 7 years of relevant experience required.
Preferred Qualifications
12-15 years of relevant experience preferred. Demonstrated ability in university budget management with a clinical emphasis is desired. RN License preferred. The candidate must have a record of progressive leadership abilities, demonstrated oral and written communication skills, strong analytical and troubleshooting skills. Previous experience leading a Federally Qualified Health Center is highly desirable.
On-going : Competency in PC-based networks and related software (e.g. Microsoft Office products to include Word, Excel, Access, and PowerPoint skills are desirable). Evidence of organizational skills, interpersonal skills, decision-making skills, customer relations, written and verbal communications, effective problem solving, and ability to manage multiple projects and priorities. Must be able to establish and build relationships across a broad range of people and groups both within and outside the university. Demonstrate competence to meet performance expectations.
