Job Summary :
This position will develop and execute sourcing strategies for logistics corporate wide and managing all aspects of logistics. The Category Manager will collaborate with various departments to ensure strategy compliance, identify cost-reduction opportunities, and streamline procurement and supply chain processes. This position requires being the go-to expert for logistics, driving negotiations, and managing supplier partnerships and regular business reviews.
Key Responsibilities
- Partner with internal teams to develop, execute, and manage logistics initiatives.
- Experience in managing 3PL and parcel suppliers, ensuring performance and compliance
- Conduct in-depth logistics analysis and present cost-saving opportunities to leadership.
- Act as an authority on assigned categories, compiling and interpreting industry data, supplier information, and market trends.
- Manage the entire RFP process, from gathering customer requirements and qualifying suppliers to issuing RFPs, negotiating contracts, and formalizing agreements.
- Serve as the primary contact for suppliers, coordinate quarterly reviews, monitor contract performance, and lead initiatives to enhance supplier outcomes.
- Identify potential risks in the supply chain and devise strategies to address them proactively.
- Project management and implementation.
- Monitor and evaluate category performance, leveraging key performance indicators (KPIs) to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective measures.
- Help improve processes and leverage technology to reduce costs, identify and implement best practices, and measure performance
