About this Opportunity
We are looking for a highly motivated and experienced Diesel Mechanic Supervisor to join our team at Ohio Truck Sales. As a key member of our Service Department, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily activities of our skilled technicians and contributing to the overall success of our organization.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise the Diesel Mechanics team in their daily operations
- Work closely with the Production Manager to ensure accurate scheduling
- Develop and implement training programs for technicians
- Ensure that procedures are followed to guarantee quality and completeness of work
- Develop and implement new hire training process
- Encourage teamwork, respect, and support among team members
- Address departmental issues and concerns in a timely manner
- Enforce company policies and regulations
- Maintain shop equipment and coordinate housekeeping efforts
- Coordinate daily communication and monthly meetings
- Assign work and manage processes for accurate completion of service orders
Requirements
- High School Graduation or equivalent
- 5 years of diesel mechanical experience
- 5 years Management experience
- Strong management characteristics
- Electrical aptitude preferred
- Proven experience leading a team of 8 employees
- Microsoft Office skills (Word, Excel, Outlook)
