Role Summary
We are seeking a seasoned Diesel Mechanic Supervisor to lead our skilled technicians in the Service Department at Ohio Truck Sales. The ideal candidate will possess strong management characteristics, excellent communication skills, and a passion for delivering high-quality results.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee the daily activities of Diesel Mechanics
- Work collaboratively with the Production Manager to ensure accurate scheduling
- Develop and implement effective training programs for technicians
- Ensure adherence to procedures for quality and completeness of work
- Develop and implement new hire training process
- Cultivate a positive team culture by promoting teamwork, respect, and support
- Address departmental issues and concerns in a timely manner
- Enforce company policies and regulations
- Maintain shop equipment and coordinate housekeeping efforts
- Coordinate daily communication and monthly meetings
- Assign work and manage processes for accurate completion of service orders
Requirements
- High School Graduation or equivalent
- 5 years of diesel mechanical experience
- 5 years Management experience
- Strong management characteristics
- Electrical aptitude preferred
- Proven experience leading a team of 8 employees
- Microsoft Office skills (Word, Excel, Outlook)
