Direct Support Professional

OVADS is seeking full-time Direct Support Professionals who are highly motivated and compassionate to work with I/DD individuals in our residential facilities across Brown County.

Our philosophy at Ohio Valley Adult Day Services (OVADS) is to foster inclusion and community membership by offering comprehensive and holistic planning to individuals with developmental disabilities by enhancing their strengths, interests and preferences to become successful members of their community.

As a DSP, you will:

• Teach, perform and/or assist with various levels of self-care, domestic skills and medication administration
• Ensure health and safety of served individual(s)
• Promote self-advocacy and encourage community inclusion/involvement
• Document on services and supports provided
• Other tasks assigned by supervisor(s)

Hiring requirements:

• Must be eighteen (18) years or older
• Successful completion of necessary criminal background checks mandated by state/federal law, DODD and the company
• Ability to pass a drug screening
• Evidence of a high school diploma or its equivalent

Schedule/Pay:

• Twelve (12) hour shifts (rotating weekends): Third shift — 7PM to 7AM
• Guaranteed hours of OT on each bi-weekly pay
• Pay ranges from $16.00 to $16.75 per hour depending on experience, certifications, etc.

Pay: $16.00 - $16.75 per hour

Expected hours: 41 – 43 per week
