Under close supervision, be responsible for training and compliance issues within the Electrical Operations Department as well as compliance issues related to the power plants to ensure compliance with Reliability Standards as approved by Reliability Organizations and the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission. Implement, and track training and compliance programs to meet requirements of reliability organizations, regulatory agencies, and the Company.
Expected to align personal goals with OVEC / IKEC Strategic Business Plan, it’s the Mission, Vision and Values, as well as its Diversity, Equity and Inclusion efforts.

Key Responsibilities
Effectively communicate information to individuals and entities both within and outside of our company.
Work with others to implement and track compliance programs for Electrical Operations personnel responsible for the reliability of the bulk electric system.
Keep informed of the latest practices and procedures with regard to NERC CIP and NERC 693 compliance to ensure that documentation and practices meet the requirements of regional reliability organizations and regulatory agencies.
Assist in implementation of actions needed to ensure compliance to the requirements of national and regional compliance programs as approved by national and regional Reliability Organizations and governmental agencies.
Maintain compliance records as needed for audit purposes. Periodically review materials provided by Subject Matter Experts to ensure that the documentation, to include supporting evidence, satisfies the relevant Reliability Standard requirements.
Assist in managing systems to track and monitor compliance with the NERC reliability standards.
Contribute to developing policies and procedures, improving processes, and establishing internal controls to improve OVEC’s overall compliance program.
Assist in the installation of data center equipment, including UPS units, servers, KVM switches, LAN switches, routers, and other communication devices.
Participate in seminars and workshops targeted toward compliance topics.
Administer prescribed Company personnel policies and practices.
Communicate compliance expectations and provide training to necessary subject matter experts (SME).
Perform duties in accordance with all applicable federal and state safety laws and regulations, and all applicable company safety rules and operating procedures; when supervising others, assure that safe work practices are followed and conduct safety meetings; make suggestions for the improvement of the safety program and encourage others to do so.

Responsible for knowing and complying with the laws and Code of Business Conduct related to the performance of the aforementioned duties.
Minimum Qualifications
Associates degree in electronics, electro-mechanical engineering or related discipline with a minimum of two years related work experience or bachelor’s degree in engineering, engineering technology, computer science or related discipline. Experience in technical writing and project management is a plus.
Familiarity with NERC CIP compliance requirements and experience with ReliabilityFirst audits preferred.
