Job Description:
We are seeking a Human Resources Professional to join our team at the Ohio Valley Electric Corporation. The successful candidate will be responsible for performing duties and assignments related to the functions of the Human Resources Department.
The ideal candidate will have experience in HR benefits administration, compensation programs, payroll operations, and benefits design and implementation. They will also be responsible for counseling employees regarding employee benefits, preparing and presenting programs and employee information meetings, and managing security activities related to access control.
The Human Resources Professional will work closely with the management team to develop and implement policies and procedures, as well as maintain accurate records and reports. They will also be responsible for coordinating company events, group tours, and local site visitations.
The Ohio Valley Electric Corporation offers a competitive salary range of $6,665 - $10,086 per month, as well as comprehensive benefits including medical, dental, and vision insurance, health savings account, life insurance, supplemental pension & savings plan, paid days off, holidays, vacation, sick pay, and monetary incentives/employee incentive plan.
Key Responsibilities:
- Counseling employees regarding employee benefits
- Total rewards, including compensation and employee benefits
- Administration of the compensation program, including daily payroll operations
- Benefits administration; design, evaluate and modify benefits policies
- Negotiate and purchase appropriate products (health insurance, life insurance, savings plans, pension, etc.)
- Management of security activities related to access control
- Development and maintenance of the Human Resources departmental budget
- Coordination of Company events, group tours, and local site visitations
- Maintenance of human resources materials such as employee handbooks, position descriptions, SPDs, and other various manuals
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in human resources management or related field required
- 1-2 years Human Resources Benefits Administration experience required
- 5 years Human Resources Benefits Administration experience preferred
- Certified Employee Benefits Specialist (CEBS) preferred
