JOB SPECIFICATION
Title: Materials and Supplies Attendant
Type: Contract position through Third Party Service
Location: Support Services, OVEC, Kyger Creek Power Plant
Position Summary: Perform Materials and Supplies warehousing operations at the assigned location. Responsible for safely maintaining inventories, counting, receiving, storing, and issuing materials, equipment, and supplies used for maintenance, operation, and construction activities.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Perform work in connection with receiving, storing, issuing and recording material, supplies and equipment; operate material handling equipment and Company cars and trucks.
Inspect materials, supplies, and equipment received from all sources to determine quality and quantity by visual examination to ascertain breakage and condition and prepare necessary receiving forms and records.
Operate material handling equipment such as hand truck, fork lift or hoist, as necessary, to load, unload, pack, stack, move, count, weigh, sort, and arrange materials and supplies and equipment in bins, shelves, or storage areas and to make minor alterations to bins and shelves.
Issue materials, supplies, and equipment according to established procedure or instruction and keep required records.
Make physical and visual inventories counts and prepare necessary records to insure that inventory records within the Asset Suite System are accurate which in turn assists to make certain that adequate quantities of materials, supplies and equipment are on hand.
Drive Company car or truck to pick up or deliver freight, express parcel post, supplies, material and equipment to and/or from manufacturers, dealers, agencies or other Company units. A legal driver license certification by the state must be maintained.
Maintain stock, materials, tools, and equipment in store room and staging areas in a clean and orderly condition.
Qualifications:
High School Diploma or GED required.
Computer skills, two years industrial materials and supplies experience preferred.
