Drivers are responsible for transporting good across our network of stores and Donation Centers.
We are looking for a Class A CDL Driver for local driving. Responsible for driving tractor-trailer or straight truck to transport goods to retail stores/ADC Sites, performs clean-up around all sites, and exchanges ADC trailers among other responsibilities.
Minimum Requirements:
- Must be 21 years old or older.
- Must be Class A CDL certified.
- 1 year of overall driving experience and a good driving record required.
- Must be able to work in all weather conditions
- Good knowledge of DOT regulations, reading, writing and customer service skills.
- Ability to pass any drug and alcohol testing as well as initial and renewal DOT physical.
- Must pass criminal background check.
- Complete pre and post trip inspections on trucks per DOT regulations
- Complete all required paperwork accurately and turn in daily
- Take empty equipment to designated site in exchange for full equipment and other returns
- Make store deliveries according to the shipping schedule
- Ensures load is secured with proper instruments (straps, load bar)
- Unload truck and take product to designated area
- Take empty trailers to designated site and exchange for full trailer to return to designated lot
- Deliver trailers to merchants and pick up full trailers
- Turn trailers in the yard as directed by management
- Complete inventory pulls slips on each trailer moved and turn in daily
- Comply with DOT regulations
- Keep truck and equipment clean and free of litter
- Other duties as assigned
- Attend Safety meetings
- Work special events
- Clean dock, outside shipping area and around ADC locations
- Work overtime (on short notice), holidays and weekends as assigned
- Work in all weather conditions
