PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
In this role, you will focus on presenting and promoting our Corian® Design products in a manner that will increase commercial specifications, meet or exceed sales goals, boost profitability, educate our clients, and offer top notch solutions to the architects and designers in central and eastern PA. Most of your time will be spent near Allentown, Lancaster, and Harrisburg with some travel north to Scranton or west to Chambersburg.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Establish, develop, and maintain positive business relationships with architects, designers, facilities, and other clients in central Ohio. Identify upcoming project opportunities and work with architects & designers to drive specifications
- Provide exceptional, responsive service to customers
- Create, schedule, and conduct product presentations to educate customers about product performance and offer solutions that meet customer’s needs
- Work closely with local Account Representative to track commercial projects and increase sales in the territory. Track specification rates and overall performance against sales objectives
- Expand business reach through networking techniques and participation in trade shows & events, trade organizations, and other local activities
- Maintain architectural libraries in a clean, organized manner; ensure that customers have current samples and literature
- Track specification and project activities in the CRM regularly; maintain accurate customer records, project data, sales activity logs, expense reports and mileage reports
QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS:
- A strong desire to succeed!
- Bachelor’s degree preferred
- 2 years of sales experience, ideally in the building products industry. Knowledge of commercial construction and specification-driven bid processes is a plus
- Exceptional communication, customer service, and time-management skills
- Organized, detail-oriented, and able to multi-task
- Must be a self-starter, able to work independently and remotely
- Able to be on the road all day, every day meeting with customers
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and database management software
- Must have a valid driver’s license and a clean driving record
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit, stand, walk, drive, carry product samples and literature, and carry and assemble sales aids. Must be able to lift 25 pounds occasionally.
- Some of the work is in a home-office environment at a desk using a computer workstation. Regular use of mobile devices.
