OhioGuidestone is the state's leader in community behavioral health care, serving around 26,000 Ohioans each year. We focus on the needs of the whole person by providing telehealth and in-person prevention services, as well as mental health and substance use treatment. We currently have an opening for an Advancement Officer who will work primarily with our Summit County (OH) region.
Essential Functions :
- Demonstrate the values and guiding principles of OhioGuidestone each day, performing with the highest
standards of excellence, integrity and ethics.
Maintain a portfolio of 75-100 donors and prospects and utilize the Moves Management process to developstrategies to move potential donors towards solicitation and gift closure.
Develop regional relationships that result in financial support and / or programmatic engagement.Engage internal agency partners in solicitations when needed or requested.Represents OhioGuidestone and works with the management team to develop and implement initiativesthat support the agency's visibility within the assigned region.
Provide information on regional activities to the agency's communications team to supportintegrated communications plan.
Identify opportunities for grants benefitting general operating, capital improvements and program-specificdollars, in addition to assisting with writing, editing, managing, and submitting grants for the assigned
region's programs and services.
Attend team meetings to share success stories and learn from others - keeping assigned Regioninformed of the entire agency's efforts and informing the agency of the assigned region's
achievements.
Track activity, show progress and evaluate reports to measure assigned region's efforts and progress.Support the planning, organization, and implementation of special events, specific projects, or programchanges as needed or requested.
Participate in agency advocacy efforts and serve as the assigned region's representative for the advocacyteam's quarterly meetings., Attend relevant advocacy-related community events, and serve as needed as the
assigned region's agency contact to Elected Officials in the region
Exhibits positivity, flexibility and a willingness to take on or share new responsibilities as requested or required.Demonstrate positive leadership, promote a team-based work environment and present the agency in themost positive light with all internal and external contacts.
Education & Experience :
Minimum educational level is a High School Diploma or GED, or Bachelor's Degree in a related field.Experience with community outreach in a nonprofit setting.Qualifications :

Effective computer literacy skills, including Windows applications, Microsoft Office Suite, and basic databaseusage, as well as basic typing.
Must be able to access work locations, offices, and homes as necessary, which may includeascending / descending stairs.
