Description
Summary : Responsible for the preparation of hot foods for patients and retail customers. Is responsible for cleaning, sanitizing, and orderly appearance of equipment and work area.
Minimum Qualifications :
High School or GED (Required)
Years of experience : 1
SPECIALIZED KNOWLEDGE
Knowledge of safe and sanitary food handling techniques. Preparation of hot food items in large volume. Proper use of convection ovens, grills, braisers, fryers, etc. Creative food garnishing techniques. One year food preparation Experience .
RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES
Prepares and cooks cryovac foods for future use according to production sheets.
Accurately follows standardized recipes for in-house production. All products must be checked by a supervisor. Proper use of equipment to include cook tanks and kettles.
Preparation includes cooking meats, entrees and soups.
Responsible for following safe food handling practices, maintaining cleanliness, sanitation and order of work area and equipment. Notifies supervisors of equipment mal-functions, and food preparation problems.
