This position operates computed tomography scanners for a variety of procedures following directives of staff radiologists. Responsibilities include explaining procedures to patients, administering contrast media as requested, and scheduling patients in an organized manner.
Responsibilities:
- Obtain patient clinical history for procedure
- Review lab values and screen patient for allergies to determine contraindications to contrast media
- Administer oral and IV contrast media
- Operate CT scanners for various procedures
- Coordinate workload with other clinical sections and departments
- Monitor quality in patient care functions
