Job Summary:
This position operates computed tomography scanners for various procedures following directives from staff radiologists. The ideal candidate will explain procedures to patients, administer contrast media as needed, and schedule patients efficiently, all while adhering to approved protocols.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Obtain patient clinical history for each procedure.
2. Review lab values and screen patients for allergies to determine contraindications to contrast media.
3. Administer oral and IV contrast media safely and effectively.
4. Operate CT scanners for a variety of procedures, ensuring accurate and timely results.
5. Coordinate workload with other clinical sections and departments to ensure seamless operations.
6. Monitor quality in patient care functions to maintain the highest standards.
Requirements:
An Associate's Degree is required. Additionally, candidates must be registered with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) and hold Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association, as well as a valid Driver's License (DL).
