Summary : This position provides an opportunity for leadership development within Cancer Services Oncology Patient Navigation; 40% Administrative Responsibilities and 60% Oncology Navigation responsibilities. The Lead Oncology RN Navigator reports to the Manager of Oncology Navigation. This position serves as a resource for other associates with responsibility for : communication, scheduling / TAP time, coaching / mentoring, orientation and management of foundation funds. Does not hire, fire, discipline, promote, demote, transfer, or appraise, but may be consulted by higher management in these areas. As an Oncology Nurse Navigator, responsibilities include addressing health care disparities and barriers to care for patients; including facilitation of communication across the continuum of care, coordination of resources, education and advocacy, and coordination of care with managing physicians and the interdisciplinary team. The Lead Oncology RN Navigator participates in some aspects of clinical care. This position exists in various departments throughout Cancer Services across the OhioHealth system of hospitals and healthcare services.
Minimum Qualifications :
Bachelor's Degree (Required)RN - Registered Nurse - Ohio Board of NursingOhio Board of NursingOhio Board of NursingOhio Board of Nursing
Bachelor of science ( BSN) in nursing form a 4 year college or university with current licensure to practice as a registered nurse in the State of Ohio. Clinical knowledge of oncology. 5 or more years clinical Experience in oncology including patient navigation.
