Job Description Summary
This position is accountable for facilitating progress toward strategic and operational goals of the Comprehensive Stroke Program. This position is accountable for assisting OhioHealth to develop processes and quality improvement goals for all stroke programs: responsible for a campus with a system focus. This position ensures the quality, safety and reduces operational risk exposure through performance improvement processes and meeting regulatory and accreditation requirements. Accountable to facilitate, influence, plan, consult, educate, reduce barriers, and support manager and staff to incorporate principles of continuous quality improvement to multiple quality/risk related functions. This role requires leading projects by partnering with multidisciplinary team members across the organization.
Develop, implement, and monitor evidence-based standard of care for the ischemic and hemorrhagic stroke patients.
Coordinate interdisciplinary teams overseeing care of stroke patients in collaboration with medical director(s)
Coordinate and develop patient education materials addressing the needs of stroke patients
Analyze data related to quality measures
Network with national peers and leaders around best practices
Link with stroke clinic to provide continuity of care in stroke population
Address outcomes in patient population and OFI’s
Identify staff education needs and coordinate appropriate programs to address these needs
Interface with system stroke team members (neuro, stroke hub, etc)
Works closely and interfaces with medical directors and clinical care units (including intervention, acute stroke team)
Take Riverside Methodist Hospital to the next level as a nationwide leader in stroke care
Study, present, publish and mentor
Strong communication skills and influence around front-line problem solving
