Summary : The Vice President, Home & Community Based Services will be the key executive responsible for the success of the Compassus / OhioHealth partnership as well as have responsibility for all wholly owned or managed home care, home hospice (OhioHealth Kobacker House), palliative care and the Athens home hospice agency. The VP will also serve as the clinical champion / dyad partner for home infusion services. Future development of care at home services will be the responsibility of the VP. The VP, Home & Community Based Services will also be responsible for clinical service line responsibilities to develop (for example) Hospital at Home programs, chronic disease clinics, or other innovative ambulatory / home programs for patients.
Wholly owned and partnered services are approximately $80 million in annual revenue with growth potential to exceed $100 million in 2 years.

RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES
Provide leadership to ensure quality care and exceptional service is delivered to our patients through highly engaged associates.
Develop and execute a plan to achieve financial breakeven for the Kobacker House.
Manage and grow home hospice services via the OhioHealth Athens home hospice agency.
Evaluate, form plan, and execute plan to reframe the role of the Palliative Care physician inside OhioHealth. The executive will work with a team to redesign the referral mechanism and streamline ability for physicians to refer patients to Kobacker House.
Recruit (as necessary) new palliative care physicians.
Responsible for leadership and the operating staff for wholly owned hospice services including the Kobacker House and the Athens home hospice agency.
Champion and lead as necessary care at home services for OhioHealth.
Grow outpatient palliative care services including ambulatory clinics and embedded clinics (oncology) as necessary to provide excellent care across the system.
Act as the liaison for Compassus and ensure a successful partnership to include achievement of service level agreements (e.g. quality, service etc.), financial goals and growth commitments.
