POSITION SUMMARY:
The Cage Cashier will finalize cash payment to customers, maintain the balance in the cash drawer, and interact with customers and other casino employees in a friendly and professional manner.
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
- Calculates totals for customers TITO tickets and pays out cash for TITO tickets collected.
- Ensures that cash drawer is balanced at all times and makes exchanges with the vault when necessary.
- Verifies identification of customers requesting cash advances.
- Completed transactions accurately throughout their shift.
- Keeps and updates an accurate report of the cash received and distributed.
- Operated credit card processing equipment, coin sorting and wrapping machines, and other cashier equipment.
- Be familiar with other departments and know specific details about all promotional activities.
- Comply with all safety and emergency procedures.
- Perform other related duties when assigned.
Qualifications
EDUCATION:/EXPERIENCE:
High School Diploma or GED/equivalent. Six (6) months of experience as a cashier or bank clerk highly preferred.
SKILLS:
Courteous and professional manner.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Excellent customer service skills.
Knowledge of basic mathematics.
Proficient in using a 10-key calculator and other office equipment.
Ability to count money accurately and quickly.
PHYSICAL/MENTAL DEMANDS:
Ability to work in a fast-paced and noisy environment.
Will be required to work various shifts, weekends, and holidays.
Must be able to lift 15 pounds at times.
