What are the responsibilities and job description for the HOTEL NIGHT AUDITOR position at Ohkay Hotel Casino?
Performing any of the Front Desk, PBX, and accounting functions to ensure late night auditing and balancing while providing professional and efficient guest service.
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
- Responsible for greeting arriving and departing guest and assist in check-in and check-out procedures.
- Provide information to all guests, regarding the hotel, casino, local services, attractions and locations for business, dining, and entertainment.
- Must respond to all guest complaints or issues in a hospitable and efficient manner focusing on guest satisfaction.
- The use of cash/credit card handling and balancing procedures to complete each shift.
- Maintain and safe guard of monetary banks.
- Must ensure all room rates and guest information is correct by balancing registration bucket to Micros FDM System.
- Must log and/or informing appropriate supervisor of any and all discrepancies.
- Must ensure all reports are thoroughly and neatly completed at the end of each shift. Therefore the transition for the next business day will be smooth and the hotel will reopen properly.
- Maintain books and records within the hotel and reconcile to proof totals on a nightly basis.
- Prepare accounting statements and reports as required and ensure proper reconciliation with supporting documentation.
- Responsible for the familiarity of the hotel, casino, services we offer, and the image we wish to project.
- Any and all duties and responsibilities as assigned by management.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE/SKILLS:
High school diploma or equivalent. Previous experience in night audit, front desk, reservations, and hospitality is preferred.
Must have the ability to access, read and accurately input information using a moderately complex computer system. Must be a team player with a cooperative and positive attitude.

PBX phone system, keyboard, fax/copier, key card machine, cash register, 10 key calculator

Ability to concentrate in very fast-paced environment and exercise good judgment in evaluating situations and taking effective action. Present ideas effectively both orally and written.
