We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Entry-Level CAD/Drone Technician to join our team. This individual will support construction surveying operations by assisting in data collection, processing, and analysis using both traditional and advanced technologies, including drones and CAD software. The ideal candidate will have a basic understanding of construction principles, experience with drone piloting, and proficiency in CAD software for drafting and preparing construction-related drawings and plans.

Responsibilities
- Operate drones (UAVs) to collect aerial survey data and imagery for construction site mapping and progress monitoring.
- Process and analyze drone-captured data using specialized software to create accurate maps, models, and 3D site visualizations.
- Use CAD software (AutoCAD, Civil 3D, Trimble Business Center, or similar) to create construction drawings, site plans, grading plans, and other technical documents.
- Assist senior technicians and engineers in performing field calculations and collecting as-built data from construction sites.
- Ensure that all collected data is accurately recorded, organized, and stored according to company and industry standards.
- Help maintain and calibrate equipment, drones, and other field tools to ensure proper functionality.
- Collaborate with construction teams and project managers to ensure that surveys meet project specifications and timelines.
- Stay current with the latest developments in construction technology, drones, and CAD tools.
- High school diploma or equivalent required. Associate’s or Bachelor's degree in Surveying, Civil Engineering, Geomatics, Construction Management, or a related field preferred.
- Familiarity with construction principles and techniques.
- Basic experience or coursework in drone piloting (UAV) for construction or surveying purposes.
- Proficiency with CAD software (AutoCAD, Civil 3D, Trimble Business Center, or similar).
- Understanding of construction drawings and technical documentation is a plus.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to interpret construction site data.
- Ability to work effectively in both field and office environments.
- Good communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Knowledge of safety protocols, particularly when working with drones and heavy construction equipment.
- Strong problem-solving skills and a desire to learn new technologies.
- Physical ability to perform fieldwork in diverse weather conditions and challenging terrains.
- FAA Remote Pilot Certificate (Part 107) for drone operation.
- Construction-related certifications, such as OSHA or surveying certifications, are a plus.
- Ability to lift and carry surveying equipment (up to 50 lbs).
- Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions and rough terrain.
- Ability to stand, walk, and travel to construction sites for extended periods.
