We are hiring for Laundry Attendant positions at our Holiday Inn Hotels.
**Day Shift only** Pay starting at $15
Monday-Friday start time is 8am, with a projected end time of 4:30pm.
Saturday and Sunday start time is 8 am, with a projected end time of 5:30pm
The role of Laundry Attendant is an extremely important part of the local team as it is responsible for cleaning the linens that our guests use each stay and keeping us stocked for future turnovers. The role of this position is sort, launder, dry & fold all hotel linens. Additional responsibilities include maintaining the cleanliness & order of laundry room and machines. Linen
Attendant Duties and Responsibilities:
- Sorting linens, towels, clothing and other laundry items by color, size and material
- Washing items with commercial laundry equipment following proper sanitization protocols
- Cleaning and maintaining laundry room area and equipment
- Sorts items, counts and records number of items soiled.
- Periodic inventories of linen stock.
- Ensure that the linens are neatly and systematically arranged and stacked.
- Assist Housekeeping Manager in checking quality and quantity of all new incoming textiles to ensure they meet the Hotel's specifications.
- Ensure high standard of cleanliness the Laundry Department.
- Performs all duties and responsibilities in a timely and efficient manner in accordance with established company policies and procedures to achieve overall objectives of this position.
- To understand and strictly adhere to the Hotel's Employee Rules & Regulations.
- To Report for duty punctually always wearing the correct uniform and name tag.
- Performers any other duties as assigned to him/her by management.
Prerequisites:
Physical mobility and stamina required, ability to follow instruction, detail oriented, professional attitude is required, ability to work independently.
Education: High School or equivalent.
Qualifications:
- Valid driver's license
- Reliable transportation
- Availability most days of the week, especially on Sunday and Monday.
