Summary : The State of Michigan is seeking a Senior Project Manager to lead a high-priority legacy modernization project for the Department of Insurance and Financial Services (DIFS). This position involves working closely with technical teams, stakeholders, and executives in a hybrid work environment to deliver results on a multi-year initiative.

Responsibilities :
Manage project schedules, budgets, and resources using the State of Michigan's Clarity Project Portfolio Management Tool.
Develop and maintain key project documentation, including project charters, schedules, budgets, communication plans, and status reports.
Monitor and communicate project progress, ensuring timely and accurate updates to stakeholders.
Lead cross-functional teams and foster collaboration among technical and business units.
Ensure compliance with the SUITE Project Management Methodology (PMM) and System Engineering Methodology (SEM).
Oversee vendor deliverables and ensure adherence to contracts and the deliverable approval process.
Facilitate change management processes and create Corrective Action Plans when necessary.
Skills / Qualifications :
Bachelor's degree in a relevant field or equivalent experience.
Extensive experience in IT project management, including multi-vendor environments.
Proficiency in project management tools such as Clarity or similar systems.
Exceptional communication, leadership, and stakeholder engagement skills.
Familiarity with SUITE PMM and SEM methodologies.
Ability to work effectively in hybrid work environments, balancing on-site and remote collaboration
