RN MDS Coordination Job Purpose:
We are currently seeking to add a dynamic RN MDS Coordinator to our exceptional team. The MDS Coordinator is a part of a MDS team, that collects and completes MDS assessments to ensure compliance with federal and state requirements as directed from the Resident Assessment Instrument (R.A.I) reviewing and certifying completion of MDS sections. The MDS Coordinator will assist in coordinating all functions of the MDS assessment process and attend scheduled resident Care Conferences with the Interdisciplinary Team as needed.
RN MDS Coordinator Primary Responsibilities / Job Duties:
- Participates in the MDS process and ensures completion of MDS sections to ensure that MDS’s are completed per OBRA guidelines and Medicare PPS guidelines as well as create individualized Care Plans
- Attend U.R. meetings, QAPI
- Contributes to the accuracy of MDS assessments per federal and state regulations
- Monitors facility Case Mix and Quality Measures
RN MDS Coordinator Requirements / Qualifications:
- Be caring, organized, able to multi-task, dependable and responsible
- Must be a registered nurse (RN)
- Completed a minimum of the Essential MDS 3.0 Course, preferred
- Experience in everyday operations of the nursing facility, preferred
