Designer, UX / Visual (Remote, Contract-to-hire)
Job Overview
We are looking for a Designer who will help advance our UX and Visual design practices and drive client project success. As part of a cross-functional UXD team, working in a multi-tasking, fast-paced environment, this person will be client-facing to help create best-in-class UXD deliverables. This opportunity starts as a 6-month contract with the potential for a full-time, permanent position at the end of the contract period.
Qualifications
- Have a 2-3 year track record in successful Information Architecture, UX and Visual design projects
- Have at least a Bachelor's degree in Interactive Design (or a related field)
- Have a strong proficiency in Figma or a comparable digital design tool
- Are an innovative, strategic thinker
- Are good at quick decision making in response to changing conditions
- Are passionate, confident and goal-oriented
- Can work well autonomously and remotely without frequent oversight and direction
- Can communicate well between clients, designers, and developers
- Can challenge the team to grow with ideas / solutions beyond what’s expected
- Are a team player and puts ideas first over egos
- Are an articulate visual and verbal communicator
- Have experience / knowledge in designing sites powered by content management systems
- Candidates should be comfortable traveling nationally 2-5 times a year for company and / or client meetings
- Candidates should demonstrate the ability to legally work in the United States according to federal law
