The successful candidate will be responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining CNC punching and laser cutting machines to produce high-quality metal components. This role requires attention to detail, mechanical aptitude, and the ability to work efficiently in a manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate and set up CNC punching and laser cutting machines according to engineering drawings and work orders.
- Load and unload raw materials and finished products.
- Adjust machine settings, tooling, and programs as required to ensure precision cutting and punching.
- Conduct quality inspections of cut and punched materials using measuring tools
- Perform routine machine maintenance and troubleshooting to minimize downtime.
- Follow health & safety guidelines and ensure the work area is clean and organized.
- Work closely with engineers and production staff to improve efficiency and reduce waste.
- Maintain accurate production records and report any issues to the supervisor.
- Experience operating CNC punch presses and laser cutting machines
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and CAD files.
- Understanding of metal types, thicknesses, and cutting speeds.
- Experience with programming and modifying CNC programs (preferred but not essential).
- Strong problem-solving skills and mechanical aptitude.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Good physical condition (ability to stand for long hours and lift materials).
- Certification or training in CNC machining, fabrication, or a related field is a plus.
- Forklift certification (preferred but not required).
