Job Description
Maintain quality standards by conducting visual inspection, measurements, testing and approval of incoming parts, first-off inspections, in-process inspections and finished product inspections; recording quality results and generating various quality reports.
Job Duties And Responsibilities
- Inspects and approves incoming product and materials by checking specifications, conducting visual and dimensional inspections, and rejecting out of specification materials.
- Inspects and approves in-process/first-off/last-off production by checking specifications, conducting visual and dimensional inspections, and communicating required adjustments to relevant personnel.
- Prepare and populate First Article Inspection Reports.
- Inspects and approves finished products by checking specifications, conducting visual and dimensional inspections, returning products for re-work, and confirming re-work.
- Documents inspection results by completing reports and logs, summarizes re-work and waste, and inputs data into quality database.
- Keeps measurement equipment operating by following operating instructions and ensuring equipment is calibrated.
- Perform other miscellaneous duties as assigned by Quality Manager or Quality Engineers.
- Must have excellent English language skills in both reading and writing and excellent communication skills.
- Must have good computer skills, proficient in Word, Excel and Outlook.
- Must have strong attention to detail and have strong organisational skills.
- Ability to work well within a team environment with minimum of supervision.
- Ability to read & understand technical drawings is an advantage.
- Experience of dimensional measurement inspections using metric and imperial measurement units and use of calipers, height gauges, thread gauges is an advantage
