Entry Writer Position

We are seeking a highly skilled Entry Writer to process customs declarations for major accounts and provide exceptional customer service. The successful candidate will be responsible for tracking freight, reviewing documents, preparing and submitting customs declarations, and updating milestones.
The Entry Writer must exercise due diligence in compliance with customs and other government regulations for clearance of import shipments. They will also be required to interface with customers, promote a positive relationship, and ensure timely customer service.

Duties and Responsibilities:
- Exercising due diligence as relates to compliance with customs and other federal and state government regulations for clearance of import shipments.
- Data input of import and customs related information.
- Interfacing with customers as relates to the customs clearance process and related customer service issues.
- Promote a positive relationship with the client by ensuring excellent and timely customer service.
- Process data through the Company's system and obtain other government agency releases as appropriate.
- Track and review shipping status to ensure timely departure/arrival/delivery of freight; enter milestone data.
- Document procurement, customs clearance, and billing purposes.
- Customs audits – Post summary correction, refunds, and follow-up.
Required Skills and Abilities:
- Knowledge of ISF 10 2 and PGAs.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, Word and Outlook, Nitro.
- Excellent verbal/written communication skills.
Education and Experience:
- Minimum 3 years of relevant work experience in customs brokerage department.
- Familiarity with CargoWise's Enterprise system a plus.
Physical Requirements:
- Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
