Outside Sales - Fluid Power Northern MN and Northern WI
This position is charged with increasing profitable sales by developing, maintaining, and growing the company’s OEM and user customer base in the industrial & mobile equipment markets. In this position, you will use your sales and product application experience to assist OEMs and users to find solutions to their needs. You will be backed by highly knowledgeable customer service, technical and design team, who will help you meet and exceed your goals. Benefit and 401K package available.
Compensation is based on experience.
Basic Qualifications:
- 5 years technical field sales experience.
- Extensive knowledge of hydraulic and pneumatic products.
- Willingness to travel and work in a team environment.
- Strong knowledge of the sales process and can demonstrate effectively.
- Excellent communication skills with internal staff, customers, and suppliers.
- Experience and knowledge in mobile and industrial equipment markets.
- Computer hardware/software literate with laptop, Microsoft Office, internet, various technical sizing and drawing programs, e-mail.
- Strong communication and planning skills, proactive, high energy, self-starter, operates independently from company office(s) and/or home.
Preferred: Two-year AA degree in fluid power technology
SKILLS & DUTIES:
(Must include but not limited to.)
- Increase Oil-Air Products market share by actively marketing self, company and approved products in agreed territory.
- Recommend products based on requirements (specifications), availability and cost.
- Determine customer requirements and expectation in order to recommend specific products and solutions.
- Present price, credit and terms in accordance with standard procedures and customers’ profitability profiles.
- Provide accurate information regarding availability on in-stock items.
- Accurately process customer transactions such as orders, quotes or returns.
- Increase sales and average order size by means of cross-selling, up-selling, add-on sales and offering additional services.
- Contact customers following sales to ensure ongoing customer satisfaction and resolve any complaint.
- Manage specific OEM/MRO accounts directly relating to customer on- going needs.
- Help obtain accurate information from vendors relating to shipment dates and expected date of delivery.
- Follow company policies and procedures.
- Communicate with inside sales/customer service group with unexpected increases or decreases in demand for products at OEM/MRO customers.
- Manage time effectively, meet personal goals, company goals and work effectively with other members of the Oil-Air Product team.
- Demonstrates ability to interact and cooperate with all company employees.
- Maintain proficiency in using computers, and other common office equipment and software.
- Attends outside sales meetings as required.
- Attends product training events as required.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Sales Management.
