POSITION SUMMARY: Monitor and perform repairs on all machines, vehicles, equipment and major building items.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Abide by all company Safety and Operational Policies and Procedures.
  • Maintain and repair production machinery.
  • Perform vehicle maintenance for all shop trucks.
  • Perform and manage all forklift maintenance and repairs.
  • Schedule and implement maintenance program for equipment.
  • Inspect all equipment, building and grounds as scheduled to ensure safe working conditions for all employees.
  • Maintain integrity of facility to include building and grounds.
  • Install new equipment including arrangement of necessary personnel involved as required.
  • Assist in location and acquisition of necessary shop supplies for building maintenance both structural and equipment.
  • Maintain adequate records of repairs and maintenance.
  • Manage and maintain Storm Water auditing and reporting to Dept of Environmental Qualify.
  • Manage and maintain records for all overhead crane certifications.
  • Manage, order and maintain inventory of supplies where required.
  • Communicate with management on all maintenance needs and cost.
  • Perform other duties as assigned. 

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES

  • Advanced knowledge of maintenance methods and procedures, including the proper and safe use of general repair tools, equipment, lubricants and solvents.
  • Advanced knowledge of three phase electrical systems, motor circuits, CNC electrical, mechanical and hydraulic systems.
  • Must possess ability to effectively and accurately understand, interpret, reference, evaluate, organize and record technical and non-technical information, including reading and understanding electrical schematics and technical drawings.
  • Must be able to correctly diagnose mechanical problems and effectively and efficiently perform repairs.
  • Must possess the ability to follow written and verbal instructions, including manufacturers’ service specifications.
  • Must possess knowledge of machine tool maintenance in a manufacturing environment.
  • Must possess working knowledge of HVAC systems.
  • Must possess knowledge of compressed air systems.
  • Must possess knowledge of Maintenance Management Systems and computer operation.
  • Must possess basic math skills.
  • Must possess good verbal and written communication skills to be able to work and communicate effectively with all levels of co-workers, clients, or other external contacts.
  • Must be able to be self-managed and work with no supervision.
  • Must be able to effectively manage time and prioritize tasks in order to meet establish deadlines.
  • Must successfully pass pre- and post- employment drug and alcohol test per company policy. 

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:

  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
  • 5 years maintenance or mechanical experience, preferably in the oil & gas industry.
  • Completion of Industrial Maintenance program or combination of OJT and experience.
  • Must have own tools. 

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Must be able to frequently lift and move 49lbs or less unassisted.  Anything 50lbs or more requires mechanical assistance or a team lift.
  • Must be physically capable of working in awkward positions for prolonged periods.
  • Accident hazard can involve severe cuts and bruises.
  • Must be able to hold and use tools in both hands weighing up to 40 pounds for long periods of time.
  • Must be able to work in an environment where exposure to loud noise, vibrations and bright lights, moving parts and rotating equipment is present.
  • Must be able to work in an environment where exposure to various chemicals is present.
  • Must be able to frequently bend, lift, climb, kneel, push, pull, sit, stand or walk for extended periods of time.
  • Must have good manual dexterity to perform daily tasks and operate machines, computers or other standard office equipment.
  • Must have vision and hearing within normal range.
  • Must be able to deal with moderate levels of stress and/or stressful situations to respond to urgent situations.
  • Must be able to work in an environment where safety glasses, steel toe boots and ear plugs are required to be worn at all times.
  • Must be able to work in an environment of varying climates including warm, hot and cold temperatures.
