Oil States is currently looking for a qualified candidate for the position of Insert Prep I in Lampasas, TX. This position prepares inserts for further molding operations to ensure shipment dates are met. For Speedball assemble, mold and finish spherical balls for shipping.
- Gather materials necessary to perform job.
- Identify half balls and check for quality.
- Assemble balls and put in oven.
- Perform final buff and trim for shipping.
- Pressure test balls.
- Crimp wires on finished product and assemble for shipping.
- Operates vapor degreaser.
- Mixes bonding paint for proper viscosity.
- Sprays, dips or hand paints inserts.
- Records count of parts.
- Records elapsed work time on production record.
- Maintains paint equipment and spray booth.
- Performs reclaim process on defective parts with chemical methods.
- Performs basic assembly and/or fabrication as necessary.
- Maintains clean work area.
- Acts as backup support for other related areas of production.
- Perform other duties assigned by supervisor or lead.
- Entry level
- Basic verbal and written communication skills required.
- Ability to follow safe work practices and instructions including care with sharp cutting tools.
- Prolonged standing.
- Lifting up to 50 pounds
- Frequent Pushing/pulling, stooping and bending.
- Must be able to work in temperatures of over 100 degrees.
- Wearing of respirators as necessary.
- Must be able to pass a Pulmonary Function Test.
