What are the responsibilities and job description for the Quality Document Specialist II position at OIL STATES INDUSTRIES, INC.?
POSITION SUMMARY:
Support Quality Control as an Administrative Assistant/Document Specialist, and Document Control in the compilation of Manufacturing Record Books (MRB).
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES AT ALL OSI DIVISIONS:
- Review, organize, name and upload/file all quality records in Mastercontrol as necessary.
- Communicate with internal departments, customers, and vendors to correct traceability and retrieve missing and incorrect documentation for MRB.
- Participate in meetings, as required.
- Compile project specific quality documentation for deliverable data books as necessary
- Issue inspection stamps and perform periodic stamp audits.
- Maintain and enter all purchase requisitions for the QC department.
- Distribute and maintain supplier surveys for ASL maintenance.
- Aid in the design and creation of forms, certifications, labels, barcodes, etc., when necessary.
- Perform final certification of resilient mounts.
- Perform general office and receptionist work for the department.
- Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor.
QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:
- High school diploma or equivalent with at least 3 or more years of quality or related manufacturing experience.
- Advanced computer skills (Word, Acrobat, Visual Basic, Excel and Outlook).
- Experience using Glovia a plus.
- Experience using Master Control a plus.
- Proficient with basic math skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division).
- Effective communication/interpersonal skills, verbal and written. Bilingual in Spanish a plus.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Daily use of a computer, office phone and office equipment (copier, scanner, fax, etc.)
- Light to moderate physical effort may be required.
- Prolonged sitting may be required.
- Occasional, standing, walking, stooping, and bending.
