Oil States is currently looking for a qualified candidate for the position of Machine Operator I in Lampasas, TX. This entry level position prepares and operates press machines to process and produce a high-quality rubber product.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Makes certain all materials for production are available
- Loads hot molds with rubber and puts molds in press
- Removes parts from molds
- Inspects parts
- Cleans molds and equipment
- Records time and temperature data
- Changes molds when necessary
- Perform other duties assigned by supervisor
- Ability to operate a forklift
QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:
- Must be able to follow written and verbal instructions and procedures
- Effectively run one line with multiple presses
- Will be required to work overtime if needed to continue production on any shift
- Basic comprehension of written and verbal communication skills
- Basic mathematical skills (addition/subtraction, multiplication/division)
- Ability to follow safe work practices
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Heavy to moderate physical effort may be required for the following: Prolonged standing, reaching, bending stooping, pushing, pulling and climbing
- Regular lifting up to 50 pounds
- Must be able to work in temperatures over 100 degrees
