Summary: This position is responsible for establishing lasting relationships with key targeted partners within the Forging, Extrusion, Metal Forming and other related markets. The primary responsibility is to work with existing and targeted customers to understand their needs and objectives to drive sales of Oilgear products and services.
Essential Responsibilities and Duties:
- Responsible for the development of key customer relationships & the growth of Oilgear’s Industrial Hydraulics business.
- Identify, engage, and develop deep relationships with key customer stakeholders including executive management, engineering, procurement, operations, and maintenance personnel.
- Understand the customer’s goals, needs, capital budget cycle and decision-making process.
- Create a customer specific sales strategy that focuses on positioning Oilgear as a trusted advisor and credible supplier to drive growth and increase Oilgear’s market share.
- Create and deliver targeted, meaningful proposals that help the customer meet their operational, financial and performance goals.
- Collaborate with other Oilgear functional groups as well as channel partners, including Oilgear Distributors and System Integrators as needed to support our key customers.
- Gather and communicate market intelligence that helps to identify opportunities for growth, risk and/or competitive pressures.
- Log, Manage, communicate, and track all customer activity by using the company’s CRM system.
- Collect and communicate critical Voice of the Customer information to assist the Product Management team in identifying product enhancements and new product development opportunities.
- Negotiate specifications, pricing, and supplier contracts on behalf of the company.
- To represent the company at key trade shows and industry events.
Qualifications:
Minimum:
- Familiarity with the metal forming market – Forging, Extrusion, Die-Casting, etc.
- Demonstrated ability to communicate, present and influence key stakeholders.
- Basic understanding of hydraulic systems.
- Strong listening, negotiation, and presentation abilities.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Experience with CRM software.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office.
- Travel is required - up to 50%.
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Valid Driver’s License.
Preferred:
- Fluid Power Certification.
- Ability to read and understand hydraulic circuit schematics.
- College Degree.
Working Environment and Physical Demands:
- Work performed in a shop and office environment.
- Exposure to shop environment such as noise, dust, odors and fumes
- Walking, Standing, Sitting, Bending, and Stooping
- Climbing stairs and ladders
- Lift up to 50 lbs.
