Position Summary:Territory Manager role is responsible for maintaining / increasing sales volume with existing and new accounts within the industrial/mobile distribution channels. Accountable for executing assigned sales goals and sales plans within a designated sales territory. Responsible for securing and maintaining distribution of products and maintaining effective agreements. Proactively works with manufacturing facilities to ensure customer service needs are satisfied or exceeded. Reports to Distribution Sales Manager.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Develops and maintains strong client relationships with customers and distributor accounts while meeting position objectives.
- Ensure Oilgear products are specified to maintain and increase revenue by prioritizing the opportunities on an account-by-account basis to obtain optimum sales and margin results.
- Manages distribution channel in major markets to maximize Oilgear market share.
- Develops and maintains comprehensive technical knowledge of Oilgear products, applications, features, advantages, and benefits.
- Obtains specifications and approvals at engineering firms, major accounts and/or assigned distributors to develop increased sales opportunities and margins.
- Develops and maintains comprehensive knowledge of competitive products and their activity in the marketplace and provide reports on a regular cadence as required.
- Keeps management aware of changes that would affect the distribution of Oilgear products.
- Assists in strategy planning to provide the products and service required for their assigned accounts or market.
- Provides product training at the distributor and customer levels.
- Motivates and provides sales direction to the distributors.
- Assists in the conversion of competitive accounts for Oilgear.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree preferred.
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience in direct sales and/or distributor sales of industrial products preferred.
- Ability to communicate effectively, both oral and written.
- PC skills (Microsoft Office, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint).
- Must be able to travel overnight approximately 50% of the time or as required.
- Must have proven track record of exceptional job performance plus experience.
- This remote position will support and be located in our Southeastern United States Territory.
