SUMMARY:
Ojo Spa Resorts is looking for an energetic Retail Lead to join our Retail and Spa staff in Santa Fe and assist with day to day sales and spa inquiries!
The Retail Lead assists the Retail Manager in directing the day-to-day operations of the retail function at Ojo Santa Fe by providing a strong customer service leadership presence and control in store operations, while ensuring that all customers receive excellent service and quality merchandise. Reports to the Retail Manager; also, matrixes to the Spa Manager when providing Spa Supervision assistance.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS / RESPONSIBILITIES:
Assists the Retail Manager in Inventory Management and Merchandising
- Ensures guests receive excellent service, given assistance or information they may need and have their purchases completed in a prompt and accurate manner.
- Assists with controlling inventory stock levels, receiving inventory, and alerting managers of low stock level and reordering needs.
- Assists with ensuring the financial integrity of the retail area through strict cashier accountability, key control, and adherence to stated company security practices and cash control procedures.
- Assists with inventory control by receiving delivery from suppliers, checking invoices, pricing, and price changes, handling damaged products and returns, and making certain paperwork is routed correctly and in a timely manner.
- Assists with facilitating the efficient staging, stocking, and storage of merchandise.
- Assists with ensuring that shelves and racks are well-stocked, including effective product rotation.
- Assist with planning and adjusting schedules as necessary.
- Assists with maintaining a clean, well-organized store; facilitate a safe and secure working and shopping environment.
- Act as the lead team member on the floor in the absence of a supervisor or manager.
Requirements
QUALIFICATIONS:
- High school graduate or equivalent
- Retail/customer service experience
- Experience working in a Spa is a plus
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as policies, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals
- Ability to effectively communicate oral or written. Effective interpersonal skills
- Dependable, strong team player, friendly, and self-motivated
- Knowledge of and experience with inventory management tools/software
- Ability to perform mathematical calculations such as addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, and percentages.
- Familiarity with POS/cash register. Knowledge of best practices in cash management, and in facility and safety control. Ability to ensure compliance with policies and practices.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule including days, nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Physical Requirements: Ability to stand for extended periods, sit, reach, bend, kneel, stoop, climb, and push/pull/lift items weighing 40 pounds or more.
- This role requires the ability to perform tasks requiring manual dexterity, auditory focus, and visual attention.
- Employee must be on their feet or moving product around for 8-hour shifts
Due to the natural environment at Ojo Spa Resorts, all staff must be comfortable outdoors performing physical activities, and be able to navigate uneven ground, diverse terrain, multiple stairs, and be prepared to work in unpredictable weather conditions.
