SUMMARY:

Ojo Santa Fe Spa Resort located in Santa Fe, NM seeks a creative, dependable, and high energy team member to support our Spa. The Spa Attendant oversees the cleanliness of the spa ensuring that the reception, retail, waiting, linen storage and Ojitos areas are immaculate and well-stocked at all times. The Spa Attendant preps, maintains and services the Ojitos area and backs up Spa Coordinators as needed. Spa Attendants are responsible for restocking all lockers with the appropriate items. Must maintain routine trash pickup throughout the spa, used linen pick up, and must assure that linen is picked up by the laundry team throughout the day to keep clean linen supplied back to the spa.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS / RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Stock treatment rooms and linen storage area with necessary linens, towels, paper goods, etc. according to established stock levels and checklists.
• Prep Hydrocollator.
• Perform opening duties.
• Turn on all lights, music in treatment rooms, unlock spa doors.
• Prepare spa water and restock refreshment area as needed. Keep filtered water full throughout day.
• Clean windows, water plants.
• Keep outdoor front of spa swept and outdoor sitting area wiped down as needed.
• Follow other verbal directions and/or opening checklists.
• Keep spa reception, spa relaxation lounges tidy at all times (e.g. straighten chairs, pillows, magazines, empty trash, etc.).
• Escort guests to steam, pool and tubs in a friendly, engaging manner; have a through working knowledge of spaces.
• Clean and prep Ojitos, drink stations and keep areas immaculate during the day and evening hours.
• Clean and close Spa and Ojitos following verbal directions and/or closing checklists.
• Utilize downtime effectively by reviewing and following checklists, following verbal instructions and/or seeking guidance from a Spa team member.
• Assist with monthly retail inventory, if needed.
• Report any guest or facility problems to Lead Spa Coordinator and/or Spa & Retail Director immediately.
• Cross-train as backup in other areas of Spa as needed.
• Incorporate the resort’s culture of service excellence, mission and core values into all aspects of job performance.

Requirements

• Minimum of one years of spa experience preferred.
• CPR certification preferred.
• High school diploma (or equivalent).
• Reliability and punctuality are critical.
• Desire to ensure the best possible guest experience.
• Ability to work evenings, weekends, weekdays, and holidays required.
• Ability to work in a quiet environment where the employee may be exposed to heat and steam.
• Ability to stand and move for eight or more hours per day, both indoors and outdoors, sit, reach, lift, bend, kneel, stoop, climb, push and pull items weighing up to 40 pounds.
• Ability to engage guests in a friendly manner.
• Be timely and energetic throughout the day and evening.
• The position requires manual dexterity; auditory and visual skills; and the ability to follow written and oral instructions and procedures.

Due to the natural environment at Ojo Spa Resorts, all staff must be comfortable outdoors performing physical activities, and be able to navigate uneven ground, diverse terrain, multiple stairs, and be prepared to work in unpredictable weather conditions.
