Experience with RS Means Cost Estimating is highly desired.
Responsibilities
- Prepare detailed cost estimates for construction projects based on project specifications, drawings, and site conditions.
- Collaborate with project managers and other team members to gather necessary information for accurate estimating.
- Utilize software tools such as Bluebeam and HeavyBid to create and manage estimates efficiently.
- Conduct thorough analysis of labor, materials, equipment, and overhead costs to ensure competitive pricing.
- Monitor project budgets and perform cost control measures throughout the project lifecycle.
- Negotiate pricing with subcontractors and suppliers to achieve optimal cost savings while maintaining quality standards.
- Attend pre-bid meetings and site visits to assess project requirements and conditions.
- Maintain organized records of all estimates, proposals, and related documentation for future reference.
Skills
- Strong background in construction management or project management is essential.
- Proficiency in construction estimating software such as Bluebeam and HeavyBid is highly desirable.
