We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Automotive Services Technology Teacher of Adult students to join our team. This role is essential in providing quality education to adult learners, focusing on enhancing their skills and knowledge in various areas of Automotive Mechanic subjects to include certification in ASE catagories. The ideal candidate will have experience in ASE, Shop Safety, curriculum development, and a commitment to fostering an inclusive learning environment.
Duties
- Develop and implement engaging lesson plans tailored to the needs of adult students in the classroom and the shop.
- Facilitate classroom instruction using effective teaching strategies that promote active participation and learning.
- Assess student progress and provide constructive feedback to support their Auto Mechanic growth and knowledge also track and keep accurate educational records for student success.
- Collaborate with colleagues to design and improve curriculum materials that meet all learning needs.
- Utilize learning technologies and Learning Management Systems (LMS) to enhance the educational experience.
- Foster a positive classroom environment that encourages open communication and respect among students.
Skills
- Proficient in lesson planning that caters to various learning styles and abilities.
- Ability to develop comprehensive curriculum that align with educational standards and learner objectives. Follow standards required by state and implement them into your program.
- ASE Certifications or the ability to obtain them.
- Familiarity with learning technology tools that facilitate interactive learning experiences.
