We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Electro-Mechanical Maintenance Technician to join our maintenance team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining both electrical and mechanical systems in industrial equipment and machinery to ensure continuous operation. The technician will play a key role in minimizing downtime and maximizing the efficiency of equipment through regular inspections and preventative maintenance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform routine maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs on electrical and mechanical systems, including motors, conveyors, hydraulic systems, pneumatic systems, steam coils, PLCs, and other production equipment.
- Conduct regular inspections of equipment to identify potential issues before they become major problems. May replace belts, check fluid levels, replace filters, clean, lubricate and adjust equipment, shafts, bearings, gears, and other parts of machinery.
- Troubleshoot and repair electrical systems, wiring, and control panels, as well as mechanical components such as gears, belts, pumps, and actuators.
- Assist in the diagnosis of malfunctioning apparatus in machine controls, including relays, timers, power supplies and motor control circuits.
- Collaborate with other team members and departments to ensure quick and efficient problem resolution during breakdowns.
- Assist in the installation of new equipment, upgrades, or modifications as required.
- Perform preventive maintenance according to established schedules to prevent unscheduled downtime.
- Read and interpret electrical and mechanical schematics, blueprints, and technical manuals.
- Utilize diagnostic tools and equipment to assess system performance and identify faults.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations, company policies, and industry standards.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
- Document and log maintenance activities, repairs, and parts usage
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or equivalent; Technical Certification in Electro-Mechanical Systems or related field preferred.
- Proven experience (3-5 years) in electro-mechanical maintenance, ideally in an industrial or manufacturing environment.
- Strong knowledge of electrical systems, motor controls, hydraulics, and pneumatics. PLC experience is a plus.
- Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment.
- Ability to read and understand electrical wiring diagrams, mechanical schematics, and technical manuals.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work under pressure to resolve issues quickly.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality work.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $29.90 - $35.29 per hour
